What about

During the workshop, the KPMG representative will answer questions about who business angel type investors are as well as provide information on venture capital funds and corporate investors. What are their expectations? What particular categories of investors choose start-ups for investments? How to prepare for presenting your start-up? What should a business plan contain and how should you prepare it? And as a summary: how to prepare well for obtaining financing?

JERZY KALINOWSKI .

TRAINER, CONSULTANT FOR KPMG POLAND BOARD

Currently, Jerzy Kalinowski is a consultant for the KPMG Poland Board. Beforehand, as a KPMG partner, he was responsible for consulting services for the new technology, media and telecommunications sector, in Poland and Central and Easter Europe. He was also responsible for consulting services on innovation and start-ups. Before KPMG, Jerzy held managerial positions (President of the Board, Supervisory Board member) at various new technology and telecommunications companies. He is also experienced in creating and managing a venture capital fund investing in digital start-ups.
Jerzy is a graduate of the Warsaw University of Technology, University of Rochester (USA) and IMD in Lausanne.

During the workshop, a representative of the SpeedUp Venture Capital Group will talk about how an investor reviews projects which apply for financing and what to focus on during an investment process, so that cooperation with VC is an actual partnership.

TOMASZ CZAPLIŃSKI .

TRAINER, MANAGIG PARTNER, SPEEDUP GROUP

He joined SpeedUp Group as a person who managed one of the group’s funds. He gained business experience by working at consulting companies and conducting audits at many entities or as an IT project manager.

Now he is one of the managing partners and he is responsible for the activities conducted as a part of SpeedUp BRIdge Alfa investments. Conducts investments in R&D and fintech companies as well as sales and marketing projects with high growth potential. He is also responsible for relations with investors and corporate vc. He supports the portfolio companies with his finance management, business modelling and negotiation knowledge. He built his experience for many years, by working at different levels of strategy consulting companies. He specializes in due diligence and company valuation.

He is a PhD management student at the Poznań University of Economics and Business. A speaker and mentor at programmes aimed at start-up and researchers.
